CAHN is working with Local Councils to encourage uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Caribbean & African community in their communities
The Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) COVID-19 vaccines campaign – launched to encourage members of the Black community to take up the Covid-19 vaccines. At present there is a slow uptake of the COVID-19 vaccines from the African and Caribbean communities due to a lack of trust and safety concerns.
The CAHN COVID-19 Vaccines Campaign will therefore seek to address those safety concerns around the vaccines by highlighting the facts and benefits and the experience of persons who have already taken the Covid-19 vaccines. CAHN is of the view that the COVID-19 vaccines is a viable way to fight the spread COVID-19 virus and therefore the more people vaccinated is a better chance of stopping the contraction or spread of the virus.
The campaign is to encourage the uptake of the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines through our vaccination’s clinic in Salford and other sites nationally.
The #Onelovetwojabs is phase 2 of our campaign to mobilise the uptake of the first and second dose of the Covid-19 vaccines among the African and Caribbean Community through the NHS vaccination sites/locations nationally.
